Random Wrap Up

Quick one today folks.  I thought you might want to see a few final pictures of the random things I’ve been working on.

First up, the two Halloween costumes that I worked on with my friend, Sean.  He made my amazing staff for my Breyna costume that I wore at DragonCon 2012.  Anyway, for his daughters’ costumes, I did the sewing, while Sean did the prop and makeup work.  I think the girls look fantastic as Inuyasha and Freddy Krueger, don’t you?

I haven’t actually sewed anything since, but I DID put together my new sewing table.  Here is the table closed.

And open.  The left doors open and prop up a side piece.

The open door is supposed to have some containers for scissors and things, however, the plastic containers came like this.  Even after trying to submerge the plastic in water in the bathtub to loosen them up, I could not pull the stinking things apart.  And so I will wait until my husband comes home.  Or perhaps Elizabeth will have the magic touch and be able to pull them apart this weekend when we sew.

And that is pretty much it.  Penny watched me put together the sewing desk from the nearby blanket she claimed as her own.

Maybe I will have actually started a project from my list next week, now that the sewing room is completely setup.  🙂

A little girl who wants to be Freddy Krueger for Halloween instead of a Disney princess is automatically awesome in my book. Those costumes look professional, bud! Every bit as good as store-bought. Perhaps better. Congrats on a job well done!

    I covet your sewing table.

Haha thanks. The costumes wouldn’t be nearly as awesome without Sean’s work.
