It only took me a year.
Heck, I even had these items cut since like, September. It’s a good thing I remembered them, else Lincoln probably would have outgrown them by the time I finished them.
Regardless – last week, I sat down and sewed two outfits for Link! Huzzah!
The first is just an everyday outfit. A while back, I bought some sweet knit fabric at Jo Ann’s while Elizabeth was back in town, intending to make some little rompers for Link. Adorable little comic onomatopoeia and then black space fabric with gray planets and stars and ships. I made the comic one, and have yet to make the space one.
Super easy to sew, and the fabric was great to work with. I was grateful for my serger, though sad it couldn’t help me hem, as my sewing machine left me some slightly wavy hem lines. Worst part was attaching the snaps, which I had to do by hand, sadly.
Hopefully I can find an extra hour or two to make the second one. Maybe during the week after Christmas.
The other outfit I sewed is for his upcoming 12 month geeky photo shoot. You may remember this fabric, as I used it to sew myself a dress a year or two ago. I might have to wear my dress for a quick photo with him when we do the photoshoot heh.
I made both a pair of baby pajama pants and a baby hat. I had some extra fabric in the two knits I mentioned above, so I also have pajama pants cut out of those. They will be even quicker to sew than the rompers.
I used the same pattern for both outfits, but I don’t remember the number / which pattern maker it was. Here is Link wearing his new onomatopoeia romper!
And a view from the front.
And one more for good measure. It’s hard to get good shots of babies wearing outfits – they move a lot.
No shots of him in the other outfit yet. You’ll have to wait a week or two 😉 Cheers!
